The Heritage Classic
has chosen as its beneficiary the AMHI Scholarship Fund. To encourage
excellence in youth and to award truly outstanding young men and women, the
AMHI offers five $3,000 scholarships each year.
The program is open to any
young man or woman who is/will be a high school graduate/GED. Selection of
the recipients is based on horsemanship accomplishments, ability and
aptitude for serious study, community service, leadership and reasons for
needing the scholarship.
Applications may be
obtained by sending a postage paid ($.60), self-addressed envelope to: AMHI
Educational Scholarships, P.O. Box 837, Shelburne, VT 05482-0837, or
download an application at www.morganhorse.com (go to “Scholarship
Opportunities”). Completed applications must be postmarked no later than
March 1, 2005, to be considered for the 2005 scholarships.
The American Morgan Horse
Institute, Inc. (AMHI) is a not-for-profit corporation organized under the
laws of the State of Massachusetts. It is a charitable, educational and
historical institution. Contributions to the AMHI are tax-deductible under
section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The past and current
educational activities of the AMHI include: judging seminars, education
scholarships, collecting and making available for study and displaying
historical materials relating to the Morgan breed, funding and conducting
educational programs, and conducting the Grand National & World Championship
Morgan Horse Show®. |
